Got this stool when I broke my leg. The legs on this chair adjust for the height of your tub. What I did was to place it in the tub lengthwise, and sit on it, leg in cast OUT of the tub and in a plastic trashbag to keep the cast dry. I pulled the shower curtain over my leg, and with the aid of a handheld telephone shower, I was able to shower easily with a broken leg. For people who may be suffering from dizziness or feel unsure of their foothold in a shower, sitting is a excellent way to bathe. It holds up to in this area 300 lbs of consequence so is probably excellent for nearly anyone.

After result that I could no longer stand while taking a shower due to severe back problems I ordered this well made shower stool. I wasn’t sure it was strong enough to hold my consequence. It was. We have a small shower stall upstairs and I needed a stool that I could sit on and still have room to go in this area. This stool is not only strong enough but small enough to fit inside a tight interval. It made showering more enjoyable and took the stress off my back. The stool is strong enough for larger and heavier people to use as it holds up to 300 pounds according to the manufacturer. You can adjust the height on it. I use to remove it from the shower when finished and used it to dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror. When I was done by it I slipped it under the counter top in the bathroom where it sat, out of the way, until the next day when I place it back into my shower. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend if they felt a need to sit down in the shower when there was no seat available to them. I would also recommend it if they only had a need to sit while doing personal things at the counter in the bathroom.

Bought this bath stool in July 2007. After numerous months rust was coming through the bottoms of the legs. This stained the shower baffle. After nine months it was really rusting the shower baffle. Looked inside the bottom part of the leg and saw a cut of rusted metal at the very bottom where it joins the rubber foot. I have contacted Amazon, the seller, and the manufacturer to see what could be done to assess the problem. I paid $29.99 + $12.89 S&H for a whole of $42.88 Amazon could not help me because it was past the date that they could do anything. The Customer Service person of the seller was really rude and said they would do nothing. The manufacturer told me they would come forth a credit to the seller, and then the seller said to ship the stool to them and they would come forth a refund of 50%. Would have left me with a net of $5.00. I gave up.

Very disappointed with this expensive small bath stool. Plastic seat seems cheap and not very sturdy, I really skepticism it holds up to 300 lbs. and last long. I’m 5’4″ tall and find that the seat is too low except legs are set to maximum height, which makes legs wabbly, building me dread it will break. Legs only feel steadier when set low, building seat lower than a dinning chair, legs they needed to be longer. I need it to be high enough to make it simpler to stand up in the shower after abdominal surgery. Feel like I wasted my cash with this. I don’t recommend it, look for one with longer, sturdier legs.
