Question by rambo3: ordinary height of dining room table & kitchen island?
what are the ordinary height of dining room tables – chairs and kitchen island ?? what is the dimensions of usual island for a large kitchen ??

I am having made in tropical wood and want the assess heights.what would be an ideal top for island – all the kitchen cabinet tops are made of stainless steel but wife wants something different for island.

Ordinary counter height is 36″ from top of baffle to top of counter.
Table height is 29″-30″ depending on chair style.
